Our imagery

God is represented in our lives daily in many ways. Scripture uses the imagery of "light" in many ways to depict each aspect of the Holy Trinity. God the father can be viewed as a strong lighthouse that guides us to safe shores and can be found even when we are far away. God the Son brought light to the world and draws us together in fellowship much like a campfire lights up a campsite and encourages us to tell His story. A lantern, which can be taken with us anywhere we go, represents God the Holy Spirit who lives in us and lights our path when we don't know where to go.
God the Father
"The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?"
Psalm 27:1
God the Son
"But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light."
Ephesians 5:13
God the Holy Spirit
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
Psalm 119:105

Gathering Times

Sundays

10:30am

Lightsource starts Sunday mornings in the Sanctuary. We join the adult service in worship, prayer, offertory, and communion. Immediately after, we head upstairs to Room 206, "The Loft", for Bible study provided by Lifeway's "Bible Studies for Life".

wednesdays

6:30pm-8:00pm

Wednesday nights we meet in Fellowship Hall. The aim of our gathering is to provide students with a way to engage and build relationships with other believers. We do this through myriad activities ranging from indoor and outdoor physical activities, board and card games, and video games. Occasionally we have themed events held at the church or offsite.
